During the COVID pandemic, I’ve said that Judaism has something to say about this moment in time. I believe that our traditions, values, literature and ancient wisdom has something to teach us about this plague. I haven’t always seen clearly – indeed, it’s often been very cloudy for me – but I feel it’s important to start sharing the lessons now, even amidst my own lack of clarity, because I’ve been asked over and over again what we could possibly take away from this global catastrophe.
So, over the coming year, I plan to share Jewish lessons learned from COVID, one lesson per week, short and sweet, easy to digest and accessible to everyone. I hope they may provide some meaning for you in this difficult time and begin to shed some light in the darkness.
